Goat Power Bike’s Mini Goat

By Alex Titarenko

Goat Power Bikes Mini Goat Review: A 72V Beast

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back! Today I am looking at an insanely epic ebike from Goat Power Bikes—the Mini Goat. I’ve had this bike for a few months, and with the updated controllers and motors, this thing is bulletproof. It feels like a mini motorcycle with a low seating position, making it perfect for ripping around the streets.

This “Mini” Goat is actually huge on power. It features a giant direct drive motor pushed by a massive 57-amp controller. But the real star is the battery system—you can get it with a 72V battery in 30Ah, 40Ah, or 50Ah configurations, and even add a 20Ah tank battery on top. That is a mind-blowing amount of range for a bike this size.

Performance & Speed Tests

I put the Mini Goat through the usual gauntlet: 0-20 acceleration, hill climbs, and top speed runs. With the starting strength set to 5 (the max), I hit 0-20 mph in just 4.12 seconds. To see how that acceleration stacks up against other bikes I’ve tested, check out the Leaderboards.

It’s not just about acceleration though; this bike obliterates hills. On my Steep Hill Climb Test, it held 17 mph continuously, which is impressive for a direct drive motor.

As for Top Speed? On flat ground, I averaged about 47 mph. However, because the free-spinning wheel speed goes up to 80+ mph, I was able to pick up serious speed going downhill—hitting over 50 mph with ease. The stability at these speeds is phenomenal thanks to the low center of gravity and 16-inch mag wheels.

Ride Quality & Features

The ride quality is surprisingly smooth. It sports an inverted dual-crown fork up front and a Fast Ace adjustable shock in the rear. Combined with the dense frame and centralized battery weight, the bike feels planted and secure, especially when cornering. It’s truly a “street ripper” that handles like a dream.

One of the best aspects is how quiet it is. The sine-wave controller makes the motor whisper-quiet; all I hear is the wind. Plus, it comes loaded with street features like bright turn signals, a loud horn, hazard lights, and high/low beam headlights. It’s ready for the road right out of the box.

  • Motor: Direct Drive with 57A Controller (~4800W Peak)
  • Battery: 72V System (Up to 70Ah Total Capacity Available)
  • Top Speed: ~47 MPH (See Leaderboards)
  • Suspension: Adjustable Inverted Fork & Fast Ace Rear Shock
  • Brakes: 4-Piston Hydraulic Disc (180mm Front / 203mm Rear Rotors)

Who is this Bike For?

If you are looking for a long-range commuter that can keep up with traffic, this is it. The ability to hit 40-45 mph means I’m not getting pushed to the curb by cars, and the massive battery options mean range anxiety is a thing of the past.

It’s also great for smaller riders due to the lower seat height (approx 29 inches), but taller riders can grab a seat riser. Whether you are commuting or just looking for a fun, stable joyride, the Mini Goat delivers insane value.

Final Verdict

The Goat Power Bikes Mini Goat is a unique beast. It combines the aesthetics of a mini-moto with the practicality of a high-performance ebike. With its robust build, massive power potential, and excellent handling, it is one of the most fun bikes I’ve reviewed this year.
